Overview of the Role
Overall, how would you describe your experience at JLR?
For me JLR is somewhere I have desired to work for, for many years. When choosing my degree I put careful consideration into choosing a subject I thought would line up well with a career at JLR, during my time at university I had an end goal of joining JLR on the graduate scheme. Getting through the recruitment process and securing my placement at JLR was a real highlight for me as all my hard work had paid off. I am a very sociable person so joining JLR on the graduate scheme felt like the right fit for me as I was surrounded by people similar in age and with the same mindset as me and from day one of my grad scheme back in September two years ago the people I met on day one are now some of my closest friends inside and outside of my career and this is really a key factor for me, it made the whole experience just that little bit lighter being with people who are on the same path as you made it a really great experience. During my two year grad scheme we got to take part in some really fun and interesting activities and learnt so many skills I still rely on today. We were able to travel to London to meet our agency partners and take part in the Ashorne Hill core skills programme, undertake the GiC as well as many other really fun developmental skill building courses, learning skills we can use throughout our whole career which I believe will be extremally valuable and a real perk of been on the grad scheme as although you're in a full time job you are still learning new skills. There is also lots of resources available to you for upskilling depending on your needs/interests.
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
During my grad scheme I had the opportunity to rotate around different areas of the business and undertake different placements, this was great as it allowed me to understand multiple different areas as well as how these areas worked with one another managing different workflows and partners. I found this super valuable as I got to network with multiple stakeholders and understand how I work best.

I would say take your time with the application process, really read the job description as see if it really aligns with your core values and skills. And then once completing the job application, take your time really answer honestly.
