Overview of the Role

Overall, how would you describe your experience at JLR?
A very good experience, with lots of opportunities to try a variety of different roles and expand my skillset.
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
Several different responsibilities supporting different teams in different areas in different ways. This means that I get the opportunity to contribute to the business in a way that is meaningful for me.
To what extent does your role give you the opportunity to contribute meaningfully and feel valued by your team?
4/5
It depends on what I'm doing at a particular moment, but in most instances I feel valued and given the opportunity to get involved as any other member of the team does.
How does your compensation package - including perks & benefits - fairly remunerate you for the work you do?
5/5
I'm happy with my salary and there are a number of other opportunities to try out different experiences funded by the company through the Invest in You scheme.
How well do you feel the role is preparing you for your future career?
5/5
I'm getting many opportunities to try my hand at several different roles, and so no matter what I do next I feel I will have gained valuable experience.
How would you rate the extent to which you were developing new or existing skills through formal training and your day-to-day role?
3/5
There are many opportunities through formal training to expand on what I already learned at through university and in my roles, though sometimes I feel that it would be best to be left to get on with my actual job, rather than being invited to yet another training activity offsite.

Experience & Company Culture

How is the support you receive?
4/5
I have had a great opportunity to work with a number of different people who can be mentors for me. I fell listened to when I give feedback and action is often taken quickly. However, it can be a shame when I give feedback and it only improves things for graduates that come after me, and not myself.
How is your work-life balance?
4/5
Work-life balance is good, plenty of opportunity to work from home, though it depends on the team you're in as to exactly how flexible that is. I have a long commute but that is a decision I made myself and does not reflect on the position itself.
What is the organisational culture, values and general atmosphere like?
4/5
I feel that the values and atmosphere is good. People do their best to stick by the values, while still maintaining a good vibe and not taking themselves too seriously.
How would you rate JLR initiatives when it comes to equality, diversity, inclusion and accessibility?
3/5
It seems pretty good. Several different occasions such as Easter, Diwali, Holi and a number of others are all recognised and commemorated. I don't get too involved with any of it really, so I don't know how far it actually goes other than things I've seen in passing.
How would you rate JLR CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) initiatives?
5/5
I've had the opportunity to go out on a few CSR projects, particularly around Christmas but also at other times of year. They are always enjoyable and we are encouraged to take part.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend JLR to a friend?
Yes
Why?
There are lots of opportunities to develop yourself, and it pays pretty well in my opinion. There are also good people and plenty of support.
How well did the role match your expectations based on the recruitment process?
4/5
It's pretty much what I expected. There was a lot more to it that I could have been informed about, but for the most part I've been happy with it.
When considering the recruitment & onboarding process, have you any specific tips or advice you would give to others applying to JLR?
Prepare well in advance for the interviews and practice. There are no surprises, so as long as you're prepared it will go smoothly.
