Overview of the Role

Overall, how would you describe your experience at JLR?
JLR offers a great grad scheme, with the commercial pathway seeing you rotate 4 times over the 2 years into different areas of commercial. There is already a large, existing graduate network and most managers are aware of the skills graduates can bring, and therefore this is reflected on the tasks and responsibilities given
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
This is role dependent, but there is project ownership across roles, a lot of stakeholder management as opportunities to present
To what extent does your role give you the opportunity to contribute meaningfully and feel valued by your team?

How does your compensation package - including perks & benefits - fairly remunerate you for the work you do?
4/5
Salary is very good and very competitive, rising after you complete one year and again when you complete the scheme. Outside of that, benefits are quite poor for graduates, with no private healthcare, no lifestyle scheme and a number of other things you'd expect from a large company

5/5
Lots of experience across the business and opportunities to professionally network
How would you rate the extent to which you were developing new or existing skills through formal training and your day-to-day role?

Due to the span of opportunity in commercial, I have done rotations I would never of expected to, allow me to develop skills I have never considered before

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend JLR to a friend?
Yes
Why?
Overall, I would. Its a great scheme, a lot of cross functional opportunity and you are given genuine responsibility and ownership of tasks.
How well did the role match your expectations based on the recruitment process?
5/5
When considering the recruitment & onboarding process, have you any specific tips or advice you would give to others applying to JLR?
When it comes to business specific questions / presentations, don't focus too much on the content itself, they don't expect you to be experts as an outsider to the company. They are mainly trying to gauge your understanding of the wider context of the company (net zero initatives etc.) and your confidence presenting
