Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
The intern role involves solving a particular AI problem for the business. My project consisted of the following task: 'How can we use multi-modal (image-text) models to improve the ranking of items shown to our customers?'
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Yes, I would say that at this level the responsibility was high enough to challenge us, but not high enough to overwhelm us.
