Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

So it maintenance we receive jobs on our phones. Day to day it varies from plumbing to carpentry it great for someone who like manual work but isn't sure which job they like as you learn all different kind of jobs. My role is an apprentice so i am learning most of the time
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I have enjoy every thing so far as i have learn so much and all the people in my team are very helpful. What I enjoyed the most has to be talking to client as it has help me become more extroverted as before i was an introvert. Also another part of the job that i find enjoying is help the client it just fill my heart with joy and happiness when the client thanks us, it makes my day when i see how happy they are. It prove what we do make a different in people life's and that make the job so much better knowing you are helping someone

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

it been great each months we have 1-2-1 with our line managers and he has been helpful and supporting me whenever i need something.
Also my manager has kept up with my college to know if he has to put me with other operatives making sure i am learning everything i need to. Also there is training provider support that i have access to.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

We receive enough support they make sure all are need are met.
We have two apprenticeship unwrapped event which is incredible fun last year we went to the crystal maze and a meeting in the office talking about certain aspect of the job and socialising with apprentice from different areas and different jobs. There are apprenticeship development teams which help with any concern you might have with try to help fix the problem straight away
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I have received a lot of support. They have been supportive. they help us with smart assessor which is important
They have help us understand smart assessor
They will help us for EPA(end point assessment)
They have made sure we understand everything we do so we learn some things.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

The skills learn there has help me for plastering and for carpentry. They taught us to use chop saw and how to use it safely. And how to cut skirting for inner and outer angles which has been very helpful.
It help me perform the job properly and it has increased my theory knowledge which is still very important, it made me feel more comfortable using different tools. They also taught us some good habits to have
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

As i have mention before the apprenticeship unwrapped event, individual team bonding session and Roadshows where org get together.

Why?
As it has change my life for the better is so many way. Help me to come out my shell and improve me in so many ways. It has taught me so many new skills and its the best decision i have ever made and i am grateful for the chance i received.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Clarion Housing Group?
I would tell them to be themselves. Also to try and improve there cv and to learn interview skills. As that help me the most learning interview skills and going on small courses that they told me made a big different.
