Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
This has been a big change in my responsibilities, I began fully outside learning how to use different tools and growing on different gardening techniques and methods, with one day a week of apprenticeship tutor lead studies online.
Within my managerial role, I am still completing my one day a week of study mostly, with some outside work training staff, completing site assessments or completing projects.
I also complete 1-1's with my team, manage sickness and absence, complete disciplinary actions, plan the jobs, apply for funding for projects, and purchase tools, equipment, plants & PPE.
I spend more time now within the office, spreading my time between managerial tasks, project creation, and on-site check-ins and tasks.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
Grey Seal have given in-depth tutorial lessons and workbooks with guidance on which tasks will better us as gardeners, but I believe there could have been more hands-on training and check-ins from them. Clarion has listened to our suggestions and helped mediate between what we need from our learning provider to help us grow, which has been great for me and the other apprentices within my team.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
Clarion has given me the opportunity to grow my practical skills on site and get to a really high level where I feel comfortable training others and sharing my knowledge. I have also been able to do passion projects, being taught different project management techniques and grant applications to transform and re-wild spaces on our land.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?
How much support do you receive from your employer?
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Would you recommend Clarion Housing Group to a friend?
Why?
They have good benefits to help people with advice and wellbeing, gym and cycle to work schemes, a good amount of annual leave, and are understanding of personal situations.
