Overview of the Role
Overall, how would you describe your experience at NatWest Group?
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
In my Fraud Education placement, I worked on enhancing the Cora AI fraud reporting journey, analysing fraud referral data to inform stakeholder engagement, and developing a Financial Foundations data tracking pack to measure workshop performance and regional engagement. I also led a proposal using webinar feedback to support financial education for business customers.
During my time in the Web Team, I managed end-to-end digital releases, supported the implementation of digital strategy, and collaborated with stakeholders across franchises using Agile methodologies.
One of the projects I particularly enjoyed was the invoice redirection scam initiative targeting the construction industry. It involved identifying risks from public contract award articles and designing a pilot to proactively mitigate scams—combining research, stakeholder education, and technical innovation.
What I enjoy most is the opportunity to work on meaningful projects that have a real impact on customers and colleagues. I thrive on problem-solving, stakeholder collaboration, and using data to drive decisions. Each placement has allowed me to grow professionally while contributing to NatWest’s mission of building financial confidence.

Understand the Purpose-Driven Culture: NatWest places a strong emphasis on building financial confidence and doing the right thing for customers and communities. Make sure your values align and reflect that in your application and interviews.
Use the STAR Method: For interviews and assessments, structure your answers using the Situation, Task, Action, and Result format. It helps you clearly demonstrate your impact and thought process.

Onboarding Advice:
Engage Early: Take advantage of induction sessions, networking opportunities, and early access to learning platforms. It helps you settle in and build connections quickly.
Ask Questions: Everyone is very approachable, and asking questions shows initiative and helps you learn faster.
Be Proactive in Placements: Whether you're working on fraud education, digital releases, or customer propositions, take ownership of your projects and seek out opportunities to add value.
