Overall, how would you describe your experience at JLR?
JLR has been a excellent transition from university to the working world and has supported my professional and personal development throughout the grad scheme
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
I enjoy designing and development of my projects taking them from a idea, through CAD development and finally working with supplyers to create my vison
To what extent does your role give you the opportunity to contribute meaningfully and feel valued by your team?

Im able to take on leadership roles within day to day work and future planning as well as giving me exposure to different areas of the business
How does your compensation package - including perks & benefits - fairly remunerate you for the work you do?

I think im well compensated for the level of work I'm expected to complete, however i think that some other grad give a lot more without seeing substantial reward.
How well do you feel the role is preparing you for your future career?

i think that working in this industrial environment has given me invaluable knowledge into what the industry standard is and wider market context.
How would you rate the extent to which you were developing new or existing skills through formal training and your day-to-day role?

a lot of the skills i use on a day to day basis where created in education and university, with less new skills being created just reinforced

you get out what you put in and alot of this "support" comes from your line manager who depending on their personality can be very supportive or might be more hand off approach.
How is your work-life balance?

being able to choose my WFH and in office days has given me the freedom to balance my work and social life very well without feeling the guilt or pressure to put solely my work life first.
What is the organisational culture, values and general atmosphere like?

currently the work place culture is one that is people driven, with high levels of engagement and collaboration across the business.
How would you rate JLR initiatives when it comes to equality, diversity, inclusion and accessibility?

my perception of them is good but since im not a POC or a minority i haven't felt the need to use/ been exposed to the initiatives offered by the company.

How well did the role match your expectations based on the recruitment process?

Because the areas they hire into are so vast you come in now really being aware of the work you'll be completing till you have the job, perhaps the interview process could involve talking with a member of your home team/ past Grads before hand to gain insight into the work you'll be completing
When considering the recruitment & onboarding process, have you any specific tips or advice you would give to others applying to JLR?
just to be yourself, be enthusiastic, and research the current climate so you hit the ground running and have a idea about the corporate going on's before starting.
