Overall, how would you describe your experience at Forvis Mazars?
Great - I've been given the opportunity to pick up solid practical experience in a corporate setting, whilst studying for the ACA and being surrounded by good people.
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
Reviewing financial statements and other information and performing typical audit procedures. I enjoy working in a variety of teams and developing a greater understanding of a variety of businesses and industries.
To what extent does your role give you the opportunity to contribute meaningfully and feel valued by your team?

You are given ownership over particular sections of the audit, which are your deliverables. You are pushed by managers to work on areas outside of your comfort zone and deliver greater value to the team. However, you are also working with a variety of people that can help you when needed and support your learning.
How does your compensation package - including perks & benefits - fairly remunerate you for the work you do?

You are given a competitive wage for the role you are in. You are funded and paid to undertake great professional qualifications and are also offered other benefits, like a good pension, cycle to work scheme, sports clubs, etc.
How well do you feel the role is preparing you for your future career?

If I manage to pass all of my ACA exams (fingers crossed), and continue progressing within the firm/engagement teams I will be in a great position going forward.
How would you rate the extent to which you were developing new or existing skills through formal training and your day-to-day role?

I am working with a variety of tools and software programmes, which are useful in a corporate job. We are also given regular trainings in order to improve our skills and learn new skills.

HR has been approachable and responsive, offering clear guidance and timely updates. The onboarding process was smooth and line manager, engagements managers and buddies are there to support you and will schedule regular check-ins.
How is your work-life balance?

My working week is well-balanced, with flexibility to manage personal time and study. During peak periods, wellbeing can be stretched, but support systems and sports clubs help to manage my stress.
What is the organisational culture, values and general atmosphere like?

The culture is inclusive, warm, and collaborative. Hybrid working is well-supported, allowing autonomy and connection. You are encourage to be yourself and contribute meaningfully across teams.
