Overall, how would you describe your experience at Forvis Mazars?
Overall I would describe my experience at Forvis Mazars as positive, everyone is extremely friendly and the process of joining the team and being able to get a qualification has been great.
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
The main responsibilities of the role include working as a part of a team to complete a variety of working papers within an audit file. There is a high level of communication with many clients in order to obtain evidences. There is also the study aspect of being in college and preparing for examinations.
The part of the role I enjoy the most is working as a part of a team, as the team are very supportive.
To what extent does your role give you the opportunity to contribute meaningfully and feel valued by your team?

Through the firms consistent feedback system and the support of those above, I feel valued by the team and understand where I make a meaningful contribution to the team.
How does your compensation package - including perks & benefits - fairly remunerate you for the work you do?

The compensation package provided fairly remunerates the work I complete, as through the company platform presents may benefits of which the early careers team discusses with all new joiners when joining the firm.
How well do you feel the role is preparing you for your future career?

I feel the role is definitely preparing me for my future career, as the level of responsibility increases at a reasonable speed. Additionally the ability to gain a qualification demonstrates and develops time management skills and the level of commitment to the role.
How would you rate the extent to which you were developing new or existing skills through formal training and your day-to-day role?

I am provided with a variety of training from audit specific training to general non-technical training such as commercial awareness and workplace communication skills. Within the day to day role there are always team members willing to support with any questions I may have.

My line manager has been extremely helpful in the onboarding process, making it clear I can speak to them whenever needed. My line manager has provided me with guidance to be involved within the firm beyond my job responsibilities.
How is your work-life balance?

My work life balance is reasonable, within study periods this is slightly more challenging, but with study leave provided this aids this.
What is the organisational culture, values and general atmosphere like?

The firm is extremely inclusive considering each persons individual needs, and is very welcoming with various socials occurring within the office it provides lots of opportunities to get to know lots of people.
How would you rate Forvis Mazars initiatives when it comes to equality, diversity, inclusion and accessibility?

Forvis Mazars initiatives to equality, diversity, inclusion and accessibility are strongly communicated to all new members of the firm, and consistent support is provided where necessary.
How would you rate Forvis Mazars CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) initiatives?

I would strongly rate the Company's CSR initiatives through the opportunity to contribute to charities in CSR days. Each office has a CSR committee which provides the opportunity to get involved in the office's approach to CSR and is another great way of getting to know people.

Forvis Mazars is a very friendly firm, with a great atmosphere within the office. The opportunity to develop skills technically and more generally through balancing study and a full time job is extremely valuable for career development.

The role matched my expectations based on the recruitment process where I was consistently informed by the firm prior to joining of various aspects of the job.
When considering the recruitment & onboarding process, have you any specific tips or advice you would give to others applying to Forvis Mazars?
Prior to applying I would ensure to understand the firms values and apply scenarios where you have upheld these scenarios. Additionally, I would ensure to show where you have been sufficiently able to balance two different aspects of your life under pressure for example working a job whilst studying at university.
