Overview of the Role
Overall, how would you describe your experience at Forvis Mazars?
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
The firm provides a supportive and collaborative environment, where continuous learning is encouraged and valued. Working alongside experienced professionals has allowed me to deepen my technical knowledge and contribute meaningfully to engagements. Overall, it’s been a great platform for developing both my audit capabilities and broader professional competencies.
To what extent does your role give you the opportunity to contribute meaningfully and feel valued by your team?
Additionally, the team culture at Forvis Mazars is collaborative and supportive. Feedback is constructive, and my contributions are acknowledged, which reinforces that my work is making a difference. This environment has helped me build confidence in my abilities and feel genuinely appreciated for the role I play in delivering high-quality audits
How does your compensation package - including perks & benefits - fairly remunerate you for the work you do?
However, the bonus scheme could be more transparent and inclusive. Performance-based bonuses tend to be awarded to a very limited number of individuals, which can be discouraging in larger teams where many contribute meaningfully. The criteria for receiving a bonus aren’t always clear, and the process can feel somewhat exclusive, making it difficult for team members to feel fully recognised for their efforts beyond base pay.
How well do you feel the role is preparing you for your future career?
That said, there is room for improvement in terms of structured development and progression opportunities within IT audit specifically. While I’ve learned a lot on the job, clearer guidance on career pathways, more consistent feedback, and greater access to stretch assignments would help me feel more confident that the role is actively preparing me for the next step in my career.
How would you rate the extent to which you were developing new or existing skills through formal training and your day-to-day role?
In contrast, I’ve found the formal training sessions less impactful. While they cover useful content, I often struggle to retain the material once the session ends, and there’s limited follow-up or reinforcement to help embed the learning. More interactive or applied training formats could make a big difference in helping the content stick and feel more relevant to the work we do.
Experience & Company Culture
How is the support you receive?
More structured support, clearer expectations, and accessible mentorship would go a long way in helping team members feel more confident and better equipped to succeed in their roles.
