Overall, how would you describe your experience at Forvis Mazars?
Friendly team, everyone pulls their weight and the work gets done while maintaining a positive environment.
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
Audit testing, sending queries to clients, visiting clients on site or calling them to go through processes, studying towards the ACA qualification

You take responsibility for tasks from the beginning and can easily talk about what you have contributed.
How does your compensation package - including perks & benefits - fairly remunerate you for the work you do?

The pay is slightly less than ideal for the job, but the benefits package is great, especially the health benefits. There are often new benefits added.

I'm gaining experience in auditing plenty of areas, and constantly learning about accounting processes and general client interaction skills.

You're always developing as you're always taking on new tasks. Through your studies, you gain knowledge in all areas of accounting.

How is the support you receive?

As a new starter, you get a buddy that you can go to for any support. The trainees at all levels support one another, and it's easy to reach your line manager and even those above.
How is your work-life balance?

Hours are flexible so you can start earlier and finish earlier if you wish, you choose when to take your lunch and can take as long as you want as long as you complete the required hours of work within the week. Some overtime might be needed during busy times to get the work done, but expectations are very realistic and managers are understanding.
What is the organisational culture, values and general atmosphere like?

Everyone is friendly, it's a hybrid policy so there might be days where more members of your team come into office, There are office socials as well as department socials.

The team is diverse and there are networks (e.g. Christian, Muslim, LGBTQ, disability) that host events and talks. Accessibility is good.
How would you rate Forvis Mazars CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) initiatives?

There are lots of opportunities to volunteer. One issue might be getting the day off approved to volunteer instead of working if there are things to be done, but I believe the firm is working on ensuring everyone can take their CSR days.
