How would you rate the extent to which you were developing new or existing skills through formal training and your day-to-day role?
5/5
As a graduate new joiner at Forvis Mazars, I would rate the extent of my skill development as very high. The formal training sessions provided a strong foundation in technical areas such as the use of relevant software. These sessions were well-structured and interactive, which helped me quickly build confidence in my core responsibilities.
Beyond formal training, my day-to-day role has been equally valuable for developing both new and existing skills. Working alongside experienced colleagues on real client engagements has allowed me to apply what I learned in training to practical situations. I’ve also developed important soft skills, such as communication, teamwork, and time management, through regular client interactions and collaboration within my team.

How is the support you receive?
5/5
The support I receive is generally positive. My manager and colleagues are approachable and willing to help when I have questions or need guidance. There are clear channels for communication, and I feel comfortable reaching out for assistance when needed. Occasionally, during particularly busy periods, it can take a bit longer to get responses, but overall, I feel supported in my role.
How is your work-life balance?
5/5
As a Corporate Assistant, I find that maintaining a good work-life balance can sometimes be a challenge, especially when juggling multiple priorities and supporting my manager and team. However, I do my best to keep things balanced by:
Prioritising tasks: I use daily to-do lists and my calendar to stay organised and ensure urgent matters are dealt with promptly.
Setting boundaries: I try to stick to my contracted working hours and make my availability clear to colleagues.
Taking regular breaks: Short breaks throughout the day help me stay focused and avoid burnout.
Delegating where possible: If my workload becomes too much, I’m comfortable asking for support or delegating tasks.
Switching off after work: I make a conscious effort to disconnect from emails and work messages outside of office hours to recharge.
Overall, while the role can be demanding at times, these habits help me maintain a healthy balance between my professional responsibilities and my personal life.
