As an electrician apprentice for clarion I work in domestic properties and mainly do maintenance and repairs such as light switches, sockets etc not major works
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

Good apprenticeship as having electrics under your belt as a trade is very useful

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Because I’m in my fourth years it’s more about perfecting what i already know. Because you pretty much do the same things everyday after a year or two there isn’t much new things so it’s just about mastering your craft.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

It’s structured fine however I would say my apprenticeship as a whole could be better organised
How much support do you receive from your employer?

When support is needed I do get support which is very good

The apprentice workshops are really good for socialising and networking with people in similar position or situations to you. It’s also good to hearing new ideas on how to do things as well

Loads of benefits interms of learning and also I would recommend an apprenticeship over anything as I feel it’s better to learn on the job

Get a full plan of all the steps and know 100% what your going to get out of it and what qualifications you are going to leave with and how the job will guarantee that
