Overall, how would you describe your experience at Samsung Electronics?
I had a great experience during the graduate scheme and the 2 years have flown by! There are so many opportunities to get involved with and we are given a lot of responsibility which is very rewarding. There is a cohort of graduates so it has been lovely to connect professionally and on a more social level with the rest of the group.
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
I completed 4 rotations within the People Team (each rotation was 6 months long). I had the chance to join the Business Partnering, Talent Acquisition, Reward and People Experience teams. I loved the variety of tasks and projects that I got involved with across the 4 rotations which gave me a holistic understanding of the People Team function. This cross-functional understanding will be valuable in my next HR role.

The people I have worked with have a real passion for what they do, are experts in their field and are willing to support others around them. It is a supportive environment where you are encouraged to learn & develop and more experienced professionals are happy to give you their time to support you. It is rewarding to know that you are also contributing to the success of one of the biggest brands in the world.

When considering the recruitment & onboarding process, have you any specific tips or advice you would give to others applying to Samsung Electronics?
I'd encourage candidates to read the job description thoroughly beforehand and give examples in your interviews that align with the skills/competencies that the role is looking for. But most importantly, I would be your true self as the team want to see who you really are. You are likely to be perform better when you are relaxed and authentic! The recruitment team are also human so let your personality shine through.
