Overall, how would you describe your experience at Mott MacDonald?
Definitely positive!
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
CAD design work, being brought into client or stakeholder meetings, getting the opportunity to travel quite a bit (Bristol to London/Southampton/Birmingham/Cardiff), getting the opportunity to do site walks.
To what extent does your role give you the opportunity to contribute meaningfully and feel valued by your team?

How does your compensation package - including perks & benefits - fairly remunerate you for the work you do?

I like that I can buy extra 10 days of holiday, it is quite expensive to do this but worth it to be able to go on long holidays and have that freedom to travel while being in the first few years of your career.

Why?
I love working for motts, I feel like i fit in with the people here really well, the work is great, everyone has a good work life balance. And i love the Mott Macdonald sports day!! its the highlight of the year for me !
How well did the role match your expectations based on the recruitment process?

During you're first 6 months they want you in 5 days a week, and then after that it can be 3 days in the office and 2 at home. They aren't transparent about this in the recruitment process and will give you the impression they offer 'hybrid working'.
When considering the recruitment & onboarding process, have you any specific tips or advice you would give to others applying to Mott MacDonald?
in the interview just talk as much as you can, tell them about your hobbies and things even if its not job related, they want to get to know you as a person. Everyone at Motts has interests outside of the office and has a good worklife balance so they value this in people. Obviously also make sure you prove you have the technical knowledge too!
