Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
As a finance intern I was in the Group Reporting Team. My role involved working across the different teams to help with the half year results. As well as the day to day work I also received some projects to wok on that involved peer analysis giving me a greater insight into the world of reporting.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Yes - I was given meaningful tasks that were used for the half year results allowing me to make a valuable contribution to team.

Developed many skills throughout the internship such as excel, power BI and communication. As well as time management and learnt how to work in an office environment effectively ad professionally.

The culture at M&G is really friendly and everyone is very open. There is a lot of focus on work life balance and everyone is very sociable and makes you feel welcome.

What advice would you give to others applying to M&G plc
The culture and everything is really great and everyone is very friendly and welcoming. For applications be genuinely curious, show an interest in the business beyond the role, and don’t be afraid to ask questions, enthusiasm and a willingness to learn are key.
