Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

I was able to network with a wide range of people at the company, from analysts to partners which led to me working on a client project. My day to day included meetings with the team, individual work, creating slides, excel sheets to name a few. I also had opportunities to present my work, and shadow consultants on client site.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

Yes, I was surprised with the amount of trust placed in the intern cohort from the beginning. I did my own area of analysis for my project, feeding my work to an assignment manager. Felt very much like I was a full-time analyst, with support whenever I needed.

Good support from Line Managers and Buddies. Graduates were also very helpful in providing advice and guidance.

Company Culture

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

Great culture surrounding being able to set up meetings with anyone in the company, regardless of rank. General atmosphere is super friendly, no micromanaging, company places great trust in employees being able to get the work done.

Overall Experience

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?

I really enjoyed the whole internship. It was a good balance of a high workload, with support from the wider company which made the whole experience feel rewarding. The intern cohort was a great group of people, and that made the whole experience much better.
