Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
- Led due diligence on Zambia’s local government bonds in the New Markets & Instruments team, assessing economic stability, liquidity, prefunding needs and market restrictions; coordinated with 10+ internal teams.
- Produced an operational model summary for Singapore, analysing derivatives (e.g. CDS) and potential credit event impacts by synthesising data from internal documents, email chains and market research.
- Mapped the full trade cycle from market proposal to execution, gaining insight into the external relationships supported by 40+ cross-team chats to understand firm-wide functions.

We had a buddy who was really helpful, and I had a close relationship with my manager, although my small team of 4 had 3 people away for 2 weeks each across the period
