Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
Day to day I did surveying, setting out tasks and reviewing task briefs, method statements and risk assessments.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
As the placement progressed I was given more tasks to do independently, my responsibilities progressed with the placement. Towards the end I had small tasks to work on by myself

Developed surveying and total station skills, developed time management skills. learnt about how the construction industry works in more detail and what is involved in management and bringing a project together.

Received excellent support and guidance from the whole time. Line manager and project manager went above and beyond to help out and ensure I was comfortable and to answer any questions

General atmosphere was one of hard work but also no excessive pressure put on any one person, a nice environment to work in.

The more effort that you put into your placement the more you will get out of it. Ensure your application is as detailed as possible in terms of what areas are of most interest to you and what you would like to work on
