Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

On the days I am on site, my role is to understand the project and gain as much knowledge as i can. I then use this knowledge to help out the site managers, engineers and other roles on the project. for example, I would go on site and communicate with the subcontractors to help them understand what they are doing for the day and ensure its being done correctly.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

My programme allows me to experience all aspects of construction through rotation. it gives me an opportunity to interact and network with all individuals to gain as much knowledge as possible

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I started at Vinci knowing next to nothing about construction, after visiting various sites and meeting a variety of people and roles. I have gathered a vast amount of skills such as IT skills, Knowledge on projects as well as physical skills.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

The role of a technical apprentice is very structured and organised. throughout my apprenticeship I have rotated and spent 2-5 months on various roles which gives me the perfect amount of time to experience everything before choosing my final role.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

Everyone in the company is very supportive and wants to see you do well. they give you the best opportunity to gather as much knowledge as you can. they are very flexible and will support you with any issues or queries.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

Most my learning has been from on site experience with the company but i have learnt a lot from my qualifications.
