Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

PROCUREMENT AND SUPPLY CHAIN OVERVIEW
We rely on efficient operations and high-quality resources all the way down our production process.
Our Procurement team are responsible for procuring and managing the supply chain for direct and indirect products and services for both projects and business. It involves building strong relationships with supplies, constant analysis, adaptation and optimisation of our processes and great expertise to research and obtain supplies at excellent value.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

I was given the opportunity to work on projects on my own managing tasks, as well as working within various teams.
This experience made me more responsible, organised and showed me how to prioritise the work I had effectively.

Overall Experience

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?

I enjoyed the opportunity to be part of MBDA’s procurement team because it combines strategic thinking, communication, and real business impact. I especially enjoyed learning how procurement supports complex projects and contributes to the delivery of world-class defence systems.
