Overview of Experience
Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
Completed work for my supervisor and sometimes for other associates too. Listened to associates/partners present on their practice areas (typically an hour per day, covering numerous areas). Met with trainee buddy/associates for chats, and attended social events (including lunches, drinks).
What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
We received various talks about the firm and how it is developing. We were taught about recent growth in London and plans to continue to drive this. We were informed about the increase in trainee intake and how many roles are open. The talks on the practise areas helped me to understand how the firm operates and how the various components fit together.

Improved my ability to extract and synthesise information from dense documents. Improved my ability to conduct in depth research and present my findings clearly. Learned how to conduct due diligence and developed other specific legal skills.

How would you rate business leader involvement during the insight

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
Everyone was very warm and welcoming. We were made to feel part of the firm and everyone went above and beyond to attend events with us to get to know us. Graduate recruitment made a real effort to arrange events to integrate us. I did not have any negative experiences with anyone - my expectations were exceeded.

Overall Experience
To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
The combination of interesting work and genuinely friendly and welcoming people made for a fantastic three weeks. I learned so much about a number of different subjects and met some great people.
