Overview of Experience

Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
During the vacation scheme, I gained valuable insight into the firm’s key practice areas, culture, and approach to client work. Day to day, I was involved in legal research, drafting internal memos, attending departmental talks, and participating in group tasks. I also had the opportunity to engage with trainees, associates and partners through Q&A sessions and informal networking events, which gave me a well rounded understanding of life at the firm.
What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
Through department overviews, trainee panels, and Q&A sessions, I gained a clear picture of the firm’s structure, its key sectors, and how different roles contribute to client outcomes. It was especially helpful to hear first hand experiences from trainees and associates, which gave me a realistic understanding of the training contract journey and career progression within the firm.
