Overview of Experience

Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.

A very well organised three week scheme split into two, one and half week, seats. Candidates spend their time doing desk work in two different practice areas - one in transactional, one in disputes. They are also given insightful talks from the firms different practice areas which open up for Q&A at the end. There are also two assessments over the course of the three weeks: a timed written exercise, and a group presentation.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

There is an exceptionally friendly atmosphere at Gibson Dunn. Everyone at the firm was very approachable from trainee up to partner level. You get the impression it’s something that they really prioritise, and put a real emphasis on protecting.
