Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
I oversee the day to day operations of residential properties ensuring they ate maintained, complaint and meeting the needs of both my landlords and tenants. It involves cordingating repairs and maintanence, managing tenancy agreements, rent collection, deposit handling and addressing tenant enquires.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I do thoroughly enjoy my programme, I enjoy learning more in what I do in depth. The apprenticeship provides me with a lot of information that I may not learn on the job meaning my knowledge in property is continuously expanding.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
Yes I have developed a number of skills in my role. My communication skills have grown, particularly in terms of maintaining a professional and clear phone and email manner. Its increased my confidence especially when handling difficult situations with tenants, landlords and contractors. The fast pace nature has also strengthened my ability to multitask and problem solve.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
Its very well organised and structured. We have set times each week dedicated to our apprenticeship work, which helps us stay consistent and focused. My manager is very supportive and makes sure we stay on track with everything. We have group sessions organised which is useful for learning from each other and sharing experiences.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
My manager is really hands-on and regularly checks in to make sure I’m on track with both my coursework and my day-to-day responsibilities. They’re always available to answer questions or offer guidance, and they encourage me to ask for help when I need it. We also have dedicated time each week to focus on apprenticeship work, and the team often has group sessions where we share knowledge and support each other. I genuinely feel like my development is a priority, and that makes a big difference in staying motivated and confident.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
I receive a good level of support. She’s always available for a call whenever we need help or have questions, which is really reassuring. We have monthly catch-up meetings where she checks on our progress and sets our next tasks, which helps keep everything on track. They also run lessons focused on our assignments to help broaden our knowledge and give us a better understanding of the topics.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
It gives me a deeper understanding of the property industry, including areas I might not deal with every day, which helps me see the bigger picture. The assignments and lessons help reinforce what I’m learning on the job and often give me new approaches or knowledge I can apply straight away. It’s also helped build my confidence in areas like legislation, communication, and customer service.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
There are quite a few extra curricular activities to get involved in at work. We have summer and Christmas parties which are always fun and a great chance to socialise with the wider team. There’s also a sports day and quarterly whole-company meetings which help bring everyone together. We often have themed socials too, like for Halloween or other seasonal events, which makes the workplace feel really sociable and inclusive.
