Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Overseeing the payrolling for over 500 employees. Day-to-day includes handling queries from staff, maintaining payroll records, organising end of month payroll process by keeping to a tight timeline.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy the flexibility aspect to the programme, they can move sessions/meetings depending on my schedule and the payroll timeline. The ability to learn whilst on the job.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Learning skills in the payroll process. Everything from pension, sick pay, to hourly rates, annual leave payments. Skills learnt include having clear communication with staff to aid with their queries, new excel formulas to aid the process further, and handling high end payroll queries.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

The programme is well structured with it's external sight that contains all the information. Tasks are set out in a clear list, with due dates. Upcoming sessions are easy to view and frequent communication with the tutor.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive a lot of support from my employer with frequent check ins and help with tasks when I'm particularly stressed.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I receive good support from the training provider, they made sure they understood any problems I have during my induction so they can make changes to the course if required. They always reply to emails promptly and there are frequent 1 to 1s to ensure I'm happy :)
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

The qualification helps me perform better at my role by equipping me with new skills, new knowledge on payroll that I can apply on a day-to-day basis.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

There are monthly social events that take place in the office that brings everyone together. When there is a holiday, for example Pride, there is a big social event.
