Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

As a Social Value Manager my day to day activities involve supporting the communities we work within. I manager the effective implementation of the Group SV Policy that delivers wider financial and non-financial outcomes, ensuring we achieve all client SV targets.
Part of the SV role includes the ensure training and personal development for all employees and boking the required training along with support the implementation of the companies Health and wellbeing plan as a mental health first aider.

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I love working in social value and being able to support those looking at starting their career and helping those in need. Starting this apprenticeship has allowed me to think more strategically and look at how I was capturing and reporting our social value.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Being an existing employee with Arc it was a great opportunity to start an apprentice and develop my existing skills, these skills have included: Report management, Understanding different leadership styles, creating strategies and implementing them.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

LDN have been great in providing the course guidance and recommendations with the course being online I was initially concerns that I would lose track of deadlines and the work load would be to much, however the Arc have allowed me to programme in my study time to ensuring that I'm on top of my apprenticeship work
How much support do you receive from your employer?

My employer has been great! They have provided me the time and support in working on my apprenticeship, they allow me to shadow and work along side other people in different division to support various units. I have a mentor how is different from my line manager, which is great when you have general questions and don't want to concern your line manager.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

LDN Apprenticeships have been so supportive to date, they have an communication tool called slack which is great, you can contact your assessor or anyone else for LDN at anytime.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

This has been great in helping me think strategically and start looking at our polices and procedures
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

We have loas of extra activities as Arc we have an Gym at our head office along with a ping pong table and dart board. We have regular team building dinners, lunch of activities.

Why?
The people and the opportunities. Everyone is willing to support one another and there's so much opportunity to grow and develop with 5 year training plans in place and regular reviews.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to ARC Group London?
Be willing to work hard and learn, don't be scared to ask questions
