I believe the Level 7 Apprenticeship 'Marketing & Leadership' course at Cranfield University supported by my employer Enigma Industrial Services has helped to broaden my skills and knowledge. While attending the campus I have benefitted from many lectures delivered by industry leading academics that are widely recognised within the marketing industry.

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I've found the course very demanding at Level 7 with regards to juggling my actual job and studying at the same time. But recognise what I have learnt and gained from the course/apprenticeship is very valuable for my overall personal development in relation to top-level strategic marketing management.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

On a daily basis the new skills i've learnt help me to support the business with all media and marketing requirements by liaising with our internal business units located around the UK. This involves creating both printed and digital literature to help promote our products and services.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

I have found the course well structured - I just think the KSBs are too much for the level 7 course, based on already having to write an assignment per month for the academic part of the course.

How much support do you receive from your employer?

My employer is very supportive with assisting my studies in relation to allocating time and providing hotel accommodation when I stay on campus at Cranfield University.

How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I felt my initial assigned apprenticeship tutor was very distant with regards to providing support. But since changing to a new tutor, the overall support has been excellent.

How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

The training has greatly improved my marketing research approach and enabled me to gain better insights in relation to creating customer value and improving journey touchpoints throughout the lifecycle.

Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Yes, we have plenty social events, I also get to travel to our depots around the UK and network with colleagues that is very beneficial for gaining marketing insights.
