I manage the Training and Apprentices for the whole of the business, dealing with internal and external stakeholders

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

Really enjoyed the strategic element of the L&D and also the TNA to look at succession planning

I have developed my communication styles, learnt new skills with the new systems that are being implemented across the business, also have had some mentoring for the more strategic elements of the role and also been exposed to financial planning

It was really well structured with lots of help & support from the provider

I had a lot of support from my manager and also the wider business to help with my final project on implementing a L& D strategy

The training provider was great at coaching me as I knew the answers most of the time he just knew how to get me to the end goal which was great

I am well aware now in my role how my actions can have an impact on other areas of the business, also I am conscious of the financial side of the business and what I do can impact that

I am involved with CITB and have been a speaker at a number of construction events to talk about how apprenticeships help with this business and future talent planning
