Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
I support the School of Environmental Sciences through management services, communications, and outreach. My role includes coordinating space allocation, handling room and facilities enquiries, and managing our social media to connect with students.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
1/5
I enjoyed the experience of working within the School and developing practical skills in a real-world setting. However, I didn’t feel particularly supported by the apprenticeship provider, as contact was infrequent and guidance was limited.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
3/5
I've developed my organisational and communication skills, especially when coordinating space allocation and responding to varied enquiries. Managing social media has strengthened my creativity, digital skills, and understanding of student engagement.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
1/5
The programme felt somewhat disorganised and lacked a clear structure
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
I receive excellent support from my employer. The team within the School has been incredibly helpful, offering guidance and feedback whenever needed
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
1/5
The support from my training provider was minimal. The PowerPoints were simply emailed for me to go through at my own pace, and although the meetings were scheduled for an hour, they rarely lasted more than 10 minutes.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
2/5
my development has come from hands-on experience in the role. However, it has helped me realise the career path I want to pursue moving forward.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
1/5
Not really

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend University of Liverpool to a friend?
Yes
Why?
Despite some challenges with the apprenticeship provider, the experience within the School has been valuable. The hands-on learning, supportive team, and the opportunity to develop practical skills have been beneficial
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to University of Liverpool?
My advice would be to take full advantage of the support and resources available within the university itself
