When working towards my qualifications as part of the Flying Start programme, I receive excellent support from the training provider. This support includes structured study periods, access to comprehensive learning resources, and regular contact with instructors to address any academic concerns. There is a clear alignment between the academic curriculum and the practical work at PwC, which is facilitated by the training provider to ensure that the learning experience is coherent and relevant. The qualification I am working towards through my training provider significantly enhances my ability to perform better in my role at PwC. The coursework is closely aligned with the practical aspects of auditing, providing a strong theoretical foundation that supports the tasks I carry out in the workplace. This integration helps me understand the underlying principles behind the audit processes and enables me to apply academic concepts to real-world scenarios effectively. The training also emphasizes critical skills such as analytical thinking, problem-solving, and attention to detail, which are directly applicable to my day-to-day responsibilities. Moreover, gaining insights into industry standards and regulations through my studies allows me to contribute more confidently and effectively to audit projects. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
2/5
There are a variety of extra-curricular activities to get involved in at PwC, including social gatherings, sports teams, and professional networking events. These activities provide excellent opportunities to connect with colleagues and broaden professional networks. However, as I commute from an hour away, it can be challenging to participate fully in these events. Additionally, due to my religious beliefs, I don't drink alcohol, and many social events are held in pubs or involve drinking, which means I often need to decline participation. While these events can be enjoyable for many, more inclusivity and alternatives that cater to diverse lifestyles and beliefs would be appreciated. Overall, while there are opportunities present, the ability to participate comfortably and inclusively is somewhat limited in my case.
