Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
Running weekly reports and providing data for any ad-hoc requests. Mainly focused on recruitment data, which involves pulling data from an ATS system and also working with Salesforce. I also work with the Business Intelligence team, helping to maintain dashboards on Power BI.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Yes, I was the key person to obtain recruitment data from within the company, hence my figures/data had to be accurate. I dealt with making KPI reports as well as weekly recruitment report figures which were used by many important people in the business.

Developed a very good proficiency in Excel, as well as communicating with other people across the business. I've learnt how to prioritise tasks and balance my workload.

I received support from the BI team when I needed help or from other departments that I'd need to refer to. There was a handover period for me to understand what my role would entail.

Company Culture
What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
There were many ongoing social events, from tournaments, to runs and socials after work. There is a table tennis and pool table for you to use during lunch. Big emphasis on charity events for Ex-forces, including Walking with the Wounded.

It was a great learning opportunity and good way to kickstart your career and get some experience. I was in a role which had a lot of responsibility which was good.
