Overview of Experience
Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
Gained a thorough insight into various departs and specialisms of the firm. Had direct interaction with the managing partner of the firm as well as leading international partners in an incredible immersive experience. Assisted associates/trainees and partners with various required tasks which varied depending on the department you were sitting with.
What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
It was a very thorough description of all potential roles within the firm, and direct insight into what working in these various roles may be like in practice.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
Learnt technical legal skills such as the drafting of a settlement agreement, completion of a share purchase agreement and complex legal research. Equally improved my time-management and communication skills.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
The culture was the best bit of the vacation scheme. The people working at the firm were very friendly, engaging and helpful! It is very competitive so it is a very hardworking environment- but that is what allows the firm to achieve the incredible results it does!

To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
I had a lot of fun completing the insight. It was very hard work and intense but equally I absolutely loved meeting everyone and the level of responsibility you were given was very high.

I would recommend being yourself. The firm highly values individuals and looks for a particular type of person therefore the best thing you can do is really demonstrate your personal interests and motivations. The interview process is thoroughly enjoyable and you will find the whole experience incredibly fun if it is the firm for you!
