Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
I am responsible for the capability development strategy for Operational Delivery Professionals and Learners, design interventions supporting apprentices in a variety of professions, using seasonal newsletters, SharePoint support pages and facilitating peer discussions. I manage WMBC Commissions for Management Development Programme, act as Apprentice Champion and manage the External Learning budget in collaboration with Finance.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I enjoy facilitated sessions and I gained a lot from my relationship with my coach. The programme gave me the opportunity to delve into work areas that I wouldn't have been involved otherwise, in order to complete all the tasks. Very happy.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
The apprenticeship has helped me assess my skills, behaviours and knowledge needed for HR Roles, and put a plan in place to develop my capabilities, become more confident in my areas of expertise and strengthen my work practice in real terms.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
The programme is learner-focused and well structured to support apprentices step by step from start to EPA.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
My managers and wider team have been supportive throughout the process: I have been given opportunities to get involved in stretching projects and time. I contacted teams who gave me material to support my tasks, increase my awareness is areas of work I haven't got personal experience in.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
All the support I need. My coach has given me advice and reassurance throughout the process. The facilitator of workshops has been a source of knowledge and has always answered my questions.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
The qualification's content chapters and tasks are directly linked with my day to day work. I return to my course material on a daily basis to strengthen my practice and get ideas about how to improve my processes.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
I am involved in social networks relating to social mobility and learning at a local level. I am also involved in an EU network bringing together people from other backgrounds.
