I am responsible for the improvement of customer service and reduction of operating costs by focusing on building capability, developing opportunities and expanding capacity on campus.
This involves analysing the current state of processes and performance and adopting the relevant tools to simplify where possible.

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I am really pleased to have joined the programme. It is beginning to stretch me and the vast majority of the content is new to me. The workshops are a little repetitive and the number of people on them means that it can be quite stop start but nevertheless I learn something new every time.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have joined Howdens having developed my own approach which I have brought with with me. My development is based on the apprenticeship content and formalising my ability to analyse data.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

Everything has been provided for ahead of schedule to date. The diary is set out well in advance and I have access to recordings if I were to miss sessions. The emphasis is on my ensuring I am putting in what I feel is the relevant amount to get the most out of the course and not doing the bare minimum.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I have not had any issues in getting the required amount of time to compete what I need to when I need to. My LM has been available for 1-2-1 without fail.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

The training provider has been very good in structuring and supporting us throughout. Email queries are promptly responded to and actioned where necessary. Feedback on the evidence is informative and they ensure we are using all the resources available to us to ensure that our work is an excellent quality.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

For me, the programme sets out the formal and compliance requirements to analyse data which is key to my role. It will also improve my productivity in the future as the tools and techniques will allow me to improve my workflow.
