As a Digital Coordinator, I support the delivery and optimisation of RNLI’s digital products by managing admin tasks, coordinating workflows, supporting content builds and testing, processing invoices, and liaising with teams across the organisation to ensure our digital platforms are high-performing, user-focused, and continuously improved.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I really enjoy my programme as it’s helping me build valuable skills in change and stakeholder management, while giving me practical tools I can apply in my role. It’s rewarding to see my development in action and feel more confident driving improvements.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Since starting my apprenticeship, I’ve developed stronger stakeholder management and communication skills, improved my ability to analyse and define business problems, and gained hands-on experience in process improvement and change management—all of which have enhanced my confidence and effectiveness in delivering digital solutions.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

The programme is well structured, following the business analysis lifecycle. It started with an introduction to the role and has gradually built on those skills through a mix of learning modules and real-life practical tasks, making the content clear and easy to apply.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive as much support as I need from my employer. They’re approachable, encouraging, and always willing to help when I ask, which makes me feel confident and supported in my development.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I receive great support from my training provider, including monthly one-to-one sessions and quarterly reviews with my tutor and line manager. My tutor is also always available via email, which ensures I can get help whenever I need it.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

My qualification has given me a deeper understanding of change management, with practical skills I can apply daily in my role. I often think how useful these insights would’ve been years ago—they’re valuable across many jobs and even in personal situations.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Yes, we have quarterly team socials and several employee networks to get involved in, including the Disability Network, Young Persons Network, and LGBTQ+ Network, which offer great opportunities to connect with others and get involved in wider organisational culture.
