Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
Throughout my apprenticeship I spend between 4 and 6 months in each of the teams within the marketing department. This includes, creative services, individual giving, legacy, communications, social media, engagement, retail and data. In creative services, I was account handler which involved coordinating stakeholders, managing creative resource and capacity, scheduling and managing jobs from start to finish and completing the briefing process multiple times. So far in Individual giving I have; Chaired weekly taskforce meets for a recruitment campaign, and coordinated and managed multiple updates and optimisations.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
The programme is excellent! So far I have had 2 managers, both of whom have been amazing, supportive and willing to help me learn. All the people who I've worked with across the organisation have been incredibly patient and supported my development in as many ways as they can, including respecting my study time.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I have learnt many new skills, as previously described but more to note include; Understanding and working with a CRM system, using workfront for campaign management, extended my excel analysis skills, learnt how to use chatgpt to create an AI agent to optimise research, learn't about contact strategy and developed professional portfolio.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
The programme is very well structured, rotating through teams is a wonderful way to come across all different perspectives of the organisations roles and responsibilities. The transfer between teams has been seamless and exceptionally well organised.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I receive lots of support from my employer in all aspects of both work and personal life, they are incredibly supportive of my study time and everyone ensures that everything I'm doing is beneficial to my professional development.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
My cambridge college tutor is very supportive, I can reach out whenever I'd like to ask for support on crossovers between working and studying, I have monthly meetings where I can ask any questions, and frequent review sessions.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
My qualification and role are very closely linked, there are often weeks where I learn about something through my study and then do a very similar task the week later. My qualification content helps me develop my working tasks deeper and allows me to focus on the job as I have strong background knowledge.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
Yes there are lots! We often have a team lunch or team breakfast which involve a lot of networking. As it's a charity we are all often volunteering, most recently a group of us went up to support the RNLI's london marathon runners! We are also encouraged to get involved in fundraising activities such as the Mayday Mile!
