As a recruitment apprentice i support the recruitment team with job uploading, Screening CVs and searching for candidates, running weekly reports and maintaining recruitment records
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

Im really enjoying my apprenticeship, Its been a really good and fun way to learn on the job and gain that hands on experience whilst working towards something. The activities that Juice set are always different which keeps my engagement high and my tutor is always around to support which is great
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt interpersonal skills when talking to candidates and new people, Understanding of the recruitment lifecycle, the ability to work in a team-focused fast environment and gaining confidence with digital tools and systems
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

The programme is really easily structured, its always clear what my tasks are and what the assignment brief is each month, Webinars are really easy to book and there is loads of links to extra websites/podcast/reading
How much support do you receive from your employer?

My Managers are really supportive with my apprenticeship and will always make sure i have my designated hours each week to do my apprenticeship learning, they're eager to help when they can and will often check how its all going
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

My mentor at Juice has been really helpful, She instantly replies to any message/email i send her and will always schedule a call the same day to ensure i understand what is going on and what i have to do
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

It helps my wider understanding of the recruitment world, being an in-house recruitment team its interesting to see how agencies and other companies work. It has helped me to quickly pick up things which has meant i am developing quickly in my role
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

With other apprentices - no. However there are many activities to get involved in across the whole business

I think its a great company to work for. Being a fitness and wellness company especially, support is at the forefront of everything my team does and everyone is always happy to help one another.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to David Lloyd Clubs?
Go for it - there is such a wide variety of apprenticeships we offer which all look so intriguing in their own way. Support from colleagues is great, and its a great confidence boost
