Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
My day-to-day varied depending on projects and stakeholders requests. I was able to experience a variety of topics such as international business meetings, working on strategies and research for growth opportunities. Conduct data research and data analysis to spot new trends and areas to gain additional revenue.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
After proving myself I began receiving more and more responsibilities, now I have a well diverse portfolio of projects that I supervised and completed that have assisted the company business. I was able to also assist and take important roles in pre existing projects and events that have helped me grow.

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
I was able to not only learn but also master skills throughout the year. I was able to learn about project management and international business which I was heavily involved in the year. I was also able to master my abilities in financial tracking, data analytics and strategic management. I was always given the opportunity to prove my skills and I was given the support to master them.

Support and Guidance
How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
I was supported and guided throughout the year, my manager was always ready to answer any questions I had and was a main source of motivation. I also had 121 with our senior analyst who I worked with closely on multiple projects and always made sure I exceeded at my work.

Company Culture
What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
The company culture and general atmosphere is one of Universal main strengths, they office is full of driven and motivated individuals which infects everyone around them, and you consistently feel motivated to work at your best. Everyone is always approachable and ready to support you and through symphony Universal has created a unique bond between departments which I have never seen before.

Overall Experience
To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
I think this internship has to be one of the best decisions I have made. I not only was able to grow and expand my network and skills but I was also able to meet incredible people that I was able to learn from. It helped me to make decisions for the future such as my dissertation and modules. it exceeded my expectations and I'd love to return in the UPI Family.
