Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
Every day was different. Day-to-Day can involve things such as Financial, Business and Market Analysis. Occasionally, a customer meeting may occur. In this role you truly learn about businesses and how they operate.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
During my time I have thoroughly enjoyed my programme as the Bank really supports you and I found it very easy to connect with people from all over the country that work within the Bank.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
In this role I have developed many skills such as Teamwork, Networking, Self-Drive and Communication.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
3/5
My programme was structured well. Points of improvement could be more awareness from BPP to know the role you are doing as I did face a few issues with this as they did not understand my role.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
Everyone around me was very supportive and was always ready to help me in any sort of support I needed. Me and my Line Manager have weekly catch-ups to see where I was at and if I required any support.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
3/5
There are calls that happen often and that can be helpful. One-to-One with coaches can also be helpful and there was support however when facing issues it could be tough to find a solution.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
1/5
I think that the qualification I took was tailored more around a customer facing role where as in my role we did a lot of the behind the scenes work so getting the customer facing pieces of work done was tough.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
I found there was a lot of Networking Events that occurred in the Bank and outside the Bank that helped me meet some great people.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend NatWest Group to a friend?
Yes
Why?
I think the work environment was an environment where I felt comfortable in being myself but also I felt supported if I was ever in an uncomfortable situation.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to NatWest Group?
I would advice anyone to feel free to ask questions and to never feel afraid of asking anything.
