Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Managing multidisciplinary teams to deliver programmes of work in the light-rail industry. On a day-to-day basis I am undertaking financial analysis, coordinating with internal and external staff, conducting programme/schedule management and updates, leading meetings, managing client relationships and putting Mott MacDonald's commercial interests at the forefront of my work.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I really enjoy my programme and having the ability to learn on the job whilst earning an income as I have always been someone who learns best by doing.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have become proficient in Microsoft Office and Primavera P6, developed fantastic communication and presentation skills, strategic and commercial thinking, project planning, contract negotiation and CRM.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

The programme is structured well and is flexible to suit your needs. It is important to make sure you are organised as balancing university with work can sometimes be challenging.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive a lot of support. Everyone I have ever spoke to and dealt with is very supportive and I always feel I can ask questions and for help if I need it.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

Sometimes they can be hard to get information out of and it is important to chase the support if you feel you require it.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I feel as though my qualification can be applied to my role through concepts and theory however I believe my learning on the job has been more beneficial to hep me perform better in my role.
