Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
I assess animal welfare neglect incidents to progress or close them before reaching the field. Whilst assessing incidents I am responsible for checking compliance of policies and procedures and collecting data to analyse for wider business projects
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
So far the course has been enjoyable, the tutor was very welcoming and helpful, she was clear and concise in her delivery and she has put me at ease at the start of my journey. I feel comfortable to reach out to her if I have any questions or concerns

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I have only had 1 session so far but I have learnt all about the British Values, how to create a PESTLE and what they are used for and I have refreshed my knowledge in Stakeholder Management and learnt so new techniques on how to manage my stakeholders.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
So far it appears very well structured however I have only had 1 session and I am at the very start of my journey
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
My employer is extremely supportive. As my role is a fairly new role that is still being developed I have reached out to the existing Business Analysis team for support and they have provided me with an internal mentor and invited me to their monthly team meetings so I can get plenty of exposure in the Business Analysis environment. My immediate Manager has gone above and beyond to secure my place on the apprenticeship and she fully supports the time I need to dedicate it and has promised to source work that fits inline with my apprenticeship tasks.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
I'm unable to comment on this section yet as I have not had experience being at the start of my journey, however from my initial meeting with my AssistKD Tutor I feel confident that I will get all the support I need.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
It will give me the skills and knowledge I need to perform to a professional standard and provide me with tools that will help me complete projects without leaving out key stakeholders
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
2/5
Not that I am aware of

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend RSPCA to a friend?
Yes
Why?
I am passionate about Animal Welfare and I believe in the vision of the RSPCA. There is no other organisation that does as much to give all animals a voice and I am proud to be part of that story.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to RSPCA?
Research what type of role you would like to do, get experience of working with a variety of animals and people and volunteer first with them whilst you are trying to find a suitable role
