Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

My role within the team is to help with lending to business customers. I do background research on businesses to determine the risk in lending. I also help with heightened monitoring customers who are businesses that are struggling.

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I really enjoy my programme as it is a completely new field that I have joined so there is a lot to learn which keeps me busy. The role that I do is very interesting and important which also makes me feel important.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Skills such as communication, analytic skills, organisational, time keeping and mathematic skills have been developed throughout my role so far. It has also helped with my confidence.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

I think it is organised quite well as in there is a lot of support and materials available. The time table for deadlines and training sessions is good. However, they have been a few mix ups with some sessions.

How much support do you receive from your employer?

My manager always offers his support and will give me extra time for my apprenticeship work if needed.

How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

We have a few drop in calls to raise any questions if needed and I can reach my apprentice coach through email if needed.

How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

It gives me the general information on banking which is a good foundation to build upon. It helps to understand the basics.

Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

There are many social activities and networking events that I can attend.

Yes

Why?

It is a good company to work for, there are many perks such as benefits, working from home etc. For an apprenticeship the pay is good which sets it apart form other employers and the training is helpful.
