Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I prepare tax computations and CT600 forms mainly but I do prepare other tax forms, this involves using a tax software called AlphaTax daily to prepare these in a format that can be accepted by HMRC
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy this programme to a huge extent as I feel I have constant support from both managers and tutors alike, any questions I have I know who to ask and so I am always learning something new

I have developed so many skills being in this role including: communication, teamwork, independence and mental maths skills

How well organised/structured is your programme?

The programme itself is very well organised with ample time off of work to completely focus on revising for exams and there is also a good mixture of self-revision and learning in a classroom.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive so much support from my employer, any question I have can be answered and I know exactly who to ask.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I receive so much support from my training provider including a timetable that they organise with all my time off leading up to exams and then we are also supplied with revision course notes for each exam with everything we need to learn within them.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I think that the further I get with my qualification the more it benefits my performance as I understand more and more concepts that I come across daily.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Yes there are a huge amount of extra-curricular activities at my work, including constant team socials throughout the year and even networking within the company and surrounding professional firms in the area.

Why?
I would recommend S&W to a friend as I truly believe they want the best for everyone working there especially the associates who they particularly help to understand and learn as much as they can about the business and accounting as a whole.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to S&W?
My advice for anyone applying to S&W would be to go for it and just be yourself, people will very quickly figure out what you're like as a person and so there is no need to pretend.
