Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
Scheduling, problem solving, working collaboratively, attending priority setting meetings, being responsible for items flowing through production, managing stakeholders, creating business cases, identifying areas for improvement.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
Massively, have met so many great people, build strong and productive relationships and feel a high amount of motivation and satisfaction with the amount of responsibilities afforded and care put in to my development.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
Huge learning curve, confidence and interpersonal skills being the main areas of improvement. Along with huge gains in all of the technical aspects of project management

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
Very well, we have a scheme sponsor who handles our annual progress, compensation and handles queries, followed by a mentor who supports us individually and holistically throughout the program, and line managers who we move between as we complete placements throughout the company.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
So much, from mental to physical health improvement opportunities, it is just a case of replying and taking opportunities. Babcock afford us flexibility to allow us to prioritise our own work with uni balance too.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
Very helpful, UCW have afforded us a full semester of support for revision for PMQ and will set us up for the exam.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
I think whilst work develops our soft skills at an initial stage of the apprenticeship, we are able to combine and implement our learning from the classroom into workplace.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
Absolutely, weekly socials of various activities. And many sports teams and opportunities to get involved in, I have personally been involved with cricket and touch rugby so far.
