Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
I assist on a range of tasks as part of the quality team, gaining competence in practical and technical skills.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
Very supportive team, lots of varied work.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I have become a lot more confident in using different computer programmes, and I have learnt loads about the tools and methods used in quality engineering.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
I've only had 1 placement so far, but it has been very supported, and the transfer to my next one has been well planned too. For me, the only downside is the college element, as it isn't structured regularly- for example some months we may have a session every week, and some only once during that month. I feel that this would be easier to follow if we had a set day every week or fortnightly.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
Very good support from across the team.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
3/5
Good training sessions, and a monthly (on average) progress review check in. We have struggled outside of this though, as we don't get responses to our emails- we therefore have no way of contact if we are stuck on tasks.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
I think it's useful to be able to transfer our knowledge into the practical side, as we can learn it and apply it straight away. We also have the list of KSBs to follow, which has been useful as a checklist to be able to see what is required.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
Yes, a very good social team who organise regular social events, and networking opportunities.
