Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I work as a student paramedic, day to day varies depending on whether we are in training school receiving face to face training from NEAS staff or gaining experience working alongside paramedics assessing and treating patients face to face.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

Really enjoyed it, learnt lots of new skills and the staff were really supportive and engaging throughout the course.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Learnt lots of new skills from academic writing and gaining a more in depth knowledge of human anatomy and physiology to practical skills including gaining IV/IO access, airway management, advanced life support, ECG interpretation, medicines management and treating and managing a variety of minor and more complex presentation we may encounter when assessing patients.
