Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I work as a Project Consultant on Guaranteed Minimum Pension (GMP) reconciliation which requires schemes to focus on cleaning up their data and making sure their records tallied with HMRC’s on scheme membership and GMP entitlements.

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

Very much. The coaches are excellent and I have been very impressed with the learning material and learning aids/community.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Yes, my excel skills have improved and I am now confident with Power BI. I am now able to use SQL and I have a good understanding of Python. In addition I have been taught statistical analysis and good data practice.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

Very well. I have learnt at a good pace, giving me time to complete all requirements whilst not affecting my performance at work.

How much support do you receive from your employer?

I am fully supported by my employer. Furthermore, my employer has encouraged me and the business as a whole to engage with apprenticeships.

How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

My apprenticeship is very much in my 'wheelhouse' and I know it will help me greatly in my role.

Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

I arrange an annual Beach Clean using a Volunteer Day provided by my employer. We have a team walk (Winchester this year), a summer social event and the Xmas do.
