Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
As ODC, my role is to drive people change activities across projects. This includes managing the full lifecycle of change for smaller initiatives, leading specific activities in larger projects, analysing data for insights, building relationships, justifying recommendations, adapting to uncertainty, and thinking strategically to overcome barriers.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I have thoroughly enjoyed the DIBD program. It has provided me with the opportunity to significantly develop my data skills, which were previously very limited. This development has not only boosted my confidence in my current role but has also directly addressed a key business need within my team. I've particularly appreciated learning practical skills such as sourcing and evaluating data, using Google Sheets functions, and creating automated solutions. The program has allowed me to step out of my comfort zone and contribute more effectively to data-driven decision-making within the John Lewis Partnership.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
New skills include sourcing and evaluating data, driving business value through data validation, using data functions in Google Sheets, boosting impact with insights from analysis, understanding and applying GDPR guidelines, working with and developing logic parameters within HR systems for reporting, using automated solutions for data management, and developing and delivering training sessions related to data tools and processes, and creating technical documentation. Skills further developed include data analysis, problem-solving, communication, project management, understanding of organisational data culture and processes, and the ability to quantify and communicate the business impact of data projects.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
The programme was well structured and I had the ability to work around my day to day tasks where needed. Sessions can be recorded to catch up on if required and I have found my coaches to be supportive throughout the apprenticeship.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
My employer has supported me fully throughout this apprenticeship, ensuring I am working on projects that can support the apprenticeship outcomes, whilst ensuring I am giving enough time to my learning.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
My provider has been very supportive throughout. The coaching sessions are always a two way conversation, feedback is given and support offered where required. Coaches are responsive to both chats and emails making it easy to communicate with them.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
